This is an early to mid 20th century Navajo rug from the Teec Nos Pos region woven in hand spun wool in natural ivory, gray, and a variety of aniline dyed colors. The weaving features a complex design of various repeating geometric symbols stacked within a rectangular shaped ivory field. The center field is bordered by a broad band of gray with repeating elaborate stepped motifs on the interior and a thin auburn band along the outer edge. Provenance: The Ed and Jed Foutz Collection
