This is an early 20th century Navajo runner textile from the Ganado region hand woven entirely in native hand spun wool in natural ivory, dark brown, hand carded grey, and hand dyed aniline red. The long and slender textile features a central band of vertically stacked diamonds in ivory, and is further decorated by radiating zig-zag bands in alternating colors. Two thin serrated bands of red run vertically on to the left and right of the central design, all on a grey field. The textile is bordered by a simple band of white and dark brown.
