Modernism meets history in this elegant necklace. Made from hand rolled and drilled joclas from the famous #8 turquoise mine, the Pueblo joclas are enhanced with hand fabricated 18-karat gold cones and clasp by master Hopi Pueblo jeweler Sonwai. Sonwai is the artistic moniker of Verma Nequatewa, niece and former apprentice of legendary jeweler Charles Loloma. Like her uncle, Verma combines traditional raw materials with innovative designs. This necklace, measuring 16\" long is a perfect example of her approach. The traditional joclas feature clam shell heishi and vintage Czechoslovakian glass beads.
