This is a late 19th to early 20th century Navajo Transitional Period blanket woven from hand spun wool in natural ivory, brown (overdyed with aniline black), hand carded gray, and aniline dyed red. It features a gray field with boxes, alternating in color and radiating diagonally from center. The boxes are further decorated with short horizontal dash-like lines. Two solid bands in red and grey border the blanket horizontally at top and bottom.
