A soft Navajo wearing blanket woven before the turn of the century. Using handspun ivory wool from native flocks, this weaver has incorporated soft grays throughout the background by carding them into areas of her ivory wool. The result is a variegated background with alternating bands of pinks and reds dyed with aniline dyes. Accents of gray black and yellow also dyed with synthetic dyes.
