This is a late 19th century Navajo Late Classic period wearing blanket woven entirely in native hand spun wool in natural ivory, hand dyed indigo blue, and hand dyed aniline red and yellow. The textile features a red background with four vertical lanes of heavily serrated diamonds in alternating colors. The weave is fine and soft typical of textiles made to be worn as garments.
