This is an early 20th century Navajo double saddle blanket woven entirely in natural native hand spun wool in natural ivory, dark brown, hand carded grey, tan, and hand dyed red and orange. The design features an open field of ivory with dark brown boxes in the corners all on a tan background. The corners of the saddle blanket are decorated in quartered stepped triangles like you would find in a chief's blanket with stepped lines of alternating colors.
