This is an early 20th century Navajo textile from the Crystal Trading Post woven entirely in hand spun wool in natural ivory, tan and brown with hand dyed aniline red. Atypical of the region, the weaving features a central stylized cross motif with truncated borders on the sides. Above and below the central cross are three six-sided diamonds with stylized water bug motifs on the interior.
