This is a late 19th century Navajo Transitional period blanket woven entirely in native hand spun wool in natural ivory, hand carded grey, hand dyed aniline red, orange, and yellow, and hand dyed natural indigo. The textile has a overall banded design with four vertically stacked stepped diamonds with red interiors. Inside each diamond is a small chevron motif at center.
