This is an early 20th century Navajo double saddle blanket woven entirely in hand spun wool in natural ivory, dark brown, hand carded grey, and hand dyed aniline red. The blanket has a grey field with minimal design. A thin band of geometric motifs run through the center of the blanket bisecting it into two distinct panels. The only other design is confined to the corners with five connected boxes forming a stylized Maltese cross outlined in dark brown.
