This is an early 20th century Navajo pictorial rug woven in native hand spun wool in natural ivory and gray, and hand dyed aniline orange, green, and black. The design features an elongated diamond comprised of small cubes of orange, green, and gray at the center of an ivory background. The field if further decorated with various tool motifs in gray, including a saw, a hammer, wrenches, a level, and a ruler. The rug is bordered by a band of black along the outer edge.
