This is an early 20th century Navajo textile from the Ganado region. It is woven entirely in Native hand spun wool in natural ivory, dark brown, hand carded grey, vegetal dyed brown, and hand dyed aniline red. The design features a central row of stacked geometric and pictorial feather motifs on a grey field. Along the long sides are running stepped zigzags in alternating colors of red, brown, white, dark brown, and ivory.
