This is an early 20th century Navajo textile from the Crystal region woven entirely in hand spun native wool in natural dark brown, hand carded grey, and hand dyed aniline red. The textile features two large diamonds stacked vertically in the center, each with directional crosses in the center and crosses at each of the points all on a grey field. The border is a repeated design that resembles the steeple of a church with a cross at its peak.
