This is an early 20th century Navajo double saddle blanket woven entirely in native hand spun wool in natural ivory, hand carded grey, and a variety of hand dyed aniline colors including yellow, orange, and green. The textile has a two panel design with ivory fields separated by an central horizontal band of connected diamonds in three colors. In the corners of one panel are pictorial potted flower motifs inside yellow boxes and in the other panel are star like designs with colorful centers.
