Lee Yazzie

Lee Yazzie b. 1946 is one of the most sought after and talented jewelers alive. He makes only 10 pieces per year, each of which highlights his dedication to the craft and his meticulous sense of perfectionism. Both of his parents are famous silversmiths, but as a child he was never encouraged to create jewelry. He did not begin to work until he was 23. However, since that time his pieces have shown unparalleled craftsmanship and design. He works with silver, gold and precious stones. His work shows in the permanent museum collection of the Indian Arts and Crafts Board.
