Lonnie Vigil

Lonnie Vigil (b. 1949) is a self taught potter from Nambe Pueblo. Educated at Eastern New Mexico University, he worked in finance until the 1980’s, when attending a performance of “Night of the First Americans” caused him to reevaluate his life. He moved back to New Mexico and dedicated himself to creating pottery. He works exclusively in micaceous pottery and has won numerous awards for his work, including “Best of Show” in 2001 at the Santa Fe Indian Market.
