This is a late 19th century traditionally made and fired Cochiti pottery figure bust made with hollow form construction and slipped in white with guaco painted clothing and details. The figure is depicted from the waist up, with arms but no hands, and appears to be looking upwards with an open mouth, as if to be singing. "From Pueblo Indian San Alfonso, New Mexico 1880" is inscribed across the chest.
