Gregory Lomayesva
Gregory was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 1971. His mother Maria Romero Cash is a well known Hispanic santera and author. His father, Bill Lomayesva, is a Hopi wood carver and jewelry designer. Coming from two distinctly different cultures was initially a difficult adjustment. Gregory adapted to and embraced the art of his mother and father. He enriched and now carves figures that reflect his Hopi heritage in his unique folk art translation. Always open and moving in new directions, Gregory composes electronic pop music on his label Drip Records and creates fine art paintings of images from his Hopi heritage and influences of Classical Masters.
