Harvey Begay (1939-2009) was born into an incredibly talented family and learned from some of the best silversmiths of their generation. His grandmother was a well-known weaver, but it was his father, famed artist Kenneth Begay that was the biggest influence on Harvey's career. He studied at ASU before serving in Vietnam. After he returned to the United States he began to create jewelry again. His work shows around the country and he is renowned for his impeccable technique.
