An exceptionally large and fine inlaid pin from Zuni Pueblo, made of spiny oyster, turquoise, jet, white clam shell and sterling silver. This pin represents Knifewing, the Zuni god of war. This symbol was worn by warriors to protect them in battle, but also represents courage, honor, wisdom and strength. A wonderful example of Zuni lapidary work.
