This is a late 19th century Navajo silver headstall and iron bit. The styling is typical of the earliest examples with a browband with heavy stamped and tooled central motif resembling pinon beetles and two concave buttons at each end. The side conchos are small and elliptical with small turquoise cabochons. The ends of the cross pieces and the curved cheek pieces exhibit similar button motifs This headstall is paired with a cast and hammered Mexican ring bit.
