This is a late 19th century Navajo silver headstall with a Navajo iron and copper bit. The headstall is composed of a wide brow band with repousse and stamp decoration, multiple side pieces with matching decoration and elaborate high domed conchos and flared cheek pieces. The iron ring bit is typical of Navajo manufacture with multiple copper finials as decoration. Provenance: Foutz Collection, Shiprock, NM.
