This polished black plate is a masterpiece by mother and son potters, Maria Martinez and Popovi Da of San Ildefonso Pueblo. Maria/Popovi is one of the most sought after signatures in Pueblo pottery. The plate most likely dates from the mid 1950's-'60's. It is 13 3/4" in diamater.
