This is an early 20th century unsigned San Ildefonso polychrome olla traditionally made and fired in native clay and paints. The distinctly Tunyo form has two broad horizontal design bands that meet just above the shoulder of the jar. The designs on the exterior are both floral and avian motifs while the inside of the rim is done in geometric repeating triangles. The condition of this jar is very good with no restoration or repair.
