This spectacular textile is a representation of an important healing ceremony among the Navajo known as the Night Way Chant. Woven by one of the master weavers of the late 20th century, Anita Tsosie was known for her beautiful representations of the patterns used by Navajo medicine men in sandpaintings, and was the recipient of 2004 Best in Show at the Santa Fe Indian Market for one of her weavings.
