Zuni Turquoise Cluster Belt Buckle, c.1950s

This is a mid 20th century Zuni silver belt buckle with clustered settings of natural native turquoise. The overall oval form is ornamented with tear drop and oval cabachons of turquoise set side by side filling the entire surface of the buckle. Silver drops between each of the exterior settings add visual interest. This buckle come from the collection of Ed and Jackie Foutz, previous owners/operators of the Shiprock Trading Post on the Navajo reservation.
