This is a mid 20th century Santo Domingo Pueblo mosaic inlay shell pendant. Typical of the regalia that Pueblo men wear for dances this bright orange spiny oyster shell is inlaid with a tight mosaic of turquoise covering nearly half the surface. A dashed border of black jet and white shell separate the turquoise mosaic from the remainder of the orange shell.
