An early 20th century silver and turquoise ring by Zuni master carver Leekya Deyuse. The ring is comprised of a split silver shank with a large oval shaped piece of turquoise carved in the form of a coiled snake with two inlaid garnet eyes set in a handmade silver sawtooth bezel at center. The central carving is bordered by a heavily chiseled silver snake, with the same garnet eyes, wrapped around the outer edge. published in Paula Baxter's Southwest Silver Jewelry: The Essential Cuff, p.173.
