This is an early to mid 20th century Navajo double saddle blanket hand woven entirely in hand spun wool in natural ivory, dark brown, brown, hand carded grey, and hand dyed aniline red. The design features two open panes in the center one in brown and the other in grey. Surrounding the open panes is a heavy red and dark brown border decorated with fine spiraling scrolls all around.
