This is an early 20th century Navajo pictorial rug woven entirely in native hand spun wool in natural ivory, brown, hand carded gray, hand dyed vegetal green, and hand dyed aniline red, pink, yellow, and red. The rug is woven approximately twice as long as it is wide, categorizing it as a runner. The design features a tall corn stalk at center with arrow and feather motifs surrounding, all on a gray field. The field is bordered by a thin band of solid red and a thick band of brown with white scrolling motifs.
