This is a mid 19th century Rio Grande textile woven entirely in native hand spun wool in natural ivory, dark brown, and hand dyed indigo. The design is typical of the period with broad horizontal bands of ivory and many finer stripes alternating in dark brown and indigo. The textile has a fringed border at top and bottom and is in good condition with age appropriate wear.
