This is a late 19th century Navajo Germantown textile woven entirely in commercially spun and dyed wool in ivory, red, green, and blue. The design field is covered entirely by stacks of repeating serrated diamond motifs in alternating bright colors and is bordered at top and bottom by horizontal bands and along either side by ivory and red striped bands. The rug is further bordered by fringe in alternating colors along the entire outer edge, and tassels at each corner.
