This is a late 19th to early 20th century Navajo runner woven entirely in native hand spun wool in natural ivory, dark brown, hand carded gray, and hand dyed aniline red. The long and slender textile features a design of vertically stacked and connected cross motifs in gray bordered in brown running down the center, further decorated by small red box motifs, all on an ivory field.
