A modern late 20th century heishi necklace by renowned Santo Domingo Pueblo artist Charles Lovato (1937 - 1988). The necklace is comprised of fifteen twisted strands of exceptionally fine heishi beads consistently sized and finished with silver cones and a hook and eye clasp. The beads are gradient in color transitioning from white clam shell at center to darker brown pen shell toward each end.
