This is a contemporary silver belt buckle by renowned Navajo silversmith Mckee Platero. The design features pairs of repoussé swooping lozenge motifs at top and bottom bordered by bands of repeating chiseled lines. The buckle is further decorated with two small rectangular turquoise cabochons set in handmade silver sawtooth bezels The artist's alternative hallmark of three small dots in a straight line is clearly visible on the reverse.
