This is a contemporary silver pin by renowned Navajo silversmith Mckee Platero. The pin is in the shape of an insect with the body comprised of an elongated triangle set with turquoise and a round shaped head set with coral. Five silver legs protrude from each side, each decorated with scalloped chiseled lines. The artist's hallmark is clearly visible on the reverse.
