This is a late 19th to early 20th century Navajo pictorial rug woven entirely in hand spun wool in natural ivory, beige, and dark brown. The design features a large sun motif comprised of a dark brown diamond shaped center with bands of beige extending from the outer edge. The field is further decorated with a dark brown star motif in each corner, all on an ivory background with a thin border of dark brown along the outer edge.
