This is a contemporary silver ring with inlay by renowned Hopi jeweler Sonwai (Verma Nequatewa). The ring is comprised of a tapered silver band with a large silver shield form at top, set with a border of height inlay in 18k gold, Candelaria turquoise, lapis lazuli, ebony, and coral extending from the outer edge. The ring is further decorated with an oval shaped cabochon of Candelaria turquoise set in an 18k gold square tooth bezel at center. The artist's hallmark is clearly visible on the reverse.
