An early 20th century Navajo rug from the Ganado region woven entirely in hand spun wool in natural ivory, dark brown, tan, gray, and aniline dyed red. The design features a large thin cross motif in ivory with a red and brown border at center on a variegated gray background. The central cross is framed by stepped bands of red and dark brown along either side, radiating towards each corner on a background of variegated tan. The rug is further bordered by a band of ivory and dark brown along the outer edge.
