This is a contemporary beaded portrait titled "From Your Adoring Fan" by Arapaho/Seneca artist Ken Williams Jr. made from vintage & new cut glass beads. The piece features a portrait of San Ildefonso Pueblo artist Tonita Peña in the lower corner with real human hair, wrapped in a blanket and wearing a handmade fine turquoise heishi bead necklace. To her side is an image of a figure dressed in traditional dance regalia, based on one of Peña's prints (an image of the original print is included with this letter) all on a sky blue background. The piece is framed with a custom cut mat with pink, green, and purple layers, and a purple frame.
