An early 20th century Navajo rug from the Two Grey Hills region woven entirely in hand spun wool in natural ivory, dark brown, beige and gray. The design features two ivory stepped diamonds stacked at center with cross and stepped motifs, checkered serrated diamonds and fine zig-zag bands along either side, all on a gray background. The central field is bordered by an ivory band of repeating hooked motifs on a solid dark brown band along the outer edge.
