An early to mid 20th century Zuni or Navajo large silver box comprised of a rectangular shaped container and a lid. The lid is decorated with ornate stamp work, a lozenge shaped motif of repoussé in each corner and a butterfly comprised of turquoise, coral, and jet set in a scalloped silver bezel at center. The container is decorated with two bands of repeating scallop stamps across center.
