An early to mid 20th century Navajo silver coffee grinder ash tray comprised of a square shaped body with a single pull-out compartment with a fluted button pull on one side and a small silver bowl and rotating grinder handle on top. The body is decorated with stamped "x" motifs on each face and repeating scallop stamp borders on the top and bottom plate, as well as along the edge of the bowl.
