A late 19th to early 20th century Navajo Serape blanket woven in hand spun wool in natural ivory and gray, over dyed brown and orange and vegetal dyed green yarns. The design features three horizontal red fields separated by two gray bands with nine large serrated diamond motifs in bands of alternating colors evenly spaced across the center and halved along the outer edges. The blanket is further decorated with smaller repeating diamond motifs dispersed across the central field.
