a contemporary pair asymmetrical earrings by renowned Hopi artist Sonwai (Verma Nequatewa). Both earrings feature a gold shield from plate, one slightly larger than the other, and set with a shield shaped panel of stone to stone height inlay in turquoise, coral, ebony and opal with thin gold line between. The larger earrings is further adorned by a two prong thin gold wire dangle with two rectangular shaped dangles on each end. The artist's hallmark is clearly visible on the flat dangles.
