An early to mid 20th century Navajo rug woven entirely in hand spun wool in natural ivory, dark brown, gray and aniline dyed red. The design features a large ivory diamond, with a serrated border, at center of a variegated gray field, with a stacked diamond motif on the interior. The field is further decorated with diagonal columns with curled borders across each corner and a border of stepped half diamonds extending along the outer edge, all on a red background. The rug is further bordered by a solid dark brown band along the outer edge.
